I am often asked about gluten free pasta’s and if I know where to source them. I love freshly made pasta and a sauce to go with it. I do make my own sauces unless I have absolutely no time. There is nothing like handmade fresh pasta, I absolutely like the taste and I have a recipe in my book if you are interested in making gluten free pasta. However it is not everyday that people have the luxury of making their own pasta.
You do not have to curb your pasta craving just because you were diagnosed with Celiac Disease or you are gluten intolerant. The following ready to make pasta and pasta sauces are widely available today in supermarkets and online stores, so all that keeps you from that plate of delicious pasta is 20 minutes – the total time taken to make pasta if you use a ready made sauce.
Pasta Sauces –
1. Barilla Pasta Sauces – Look for the gluten free label right at the bottom of the bottle.
2. Prego Pasta Sauces – Look for the gluten free label right at the front right end of the bottle.
3. Lloyd Grossman Pasta Sauces – If there is any allergen it will be in Bold. Celery and nuts are the allergen in this product.
4. Sacla Pasta Sauces – The best when it comes to labelling – it is Gluten and Lactose Free.
5. OLEA EUROPAEA Pasta sauces and pesto – Clearly labelled without any additives.
6. There are numerous Indian gourmet brands of Pasta sauces which are devoid of gluten but only a handful do test for it or manufacture it in a gluten free facility.
Veeba, Habanero, Gourmet Jar, Yummfo pasta sauces are gluten free.
There are other more gourmet brands like Wickd and Orchard Lane whose pasta sauces are safe. These are small brands which will get back to you immediately.
